Rexona doesn't smell like C4

Apparently. Which is a good thing too. Departing Sydney was a doddle apart from me getting "randomly" selected for an explosive materials search. I got frisked by a middle-aged man, "sniffed" by a middle-aged woman with a stick and everyone else got a good laugh and an impromptu science lesson.

The flight to Singapore was very smooth, the food wasn't bad and everyone came through OK. Lessons continued as we all learned German thanks to an airline parter deal which meant all the announcements were also in German. For those who care, the German for "The inflight entertarinment system is currently causing problems." is "Zer inflight entertainment system ist kaput" (at least according to me). Surely there IS a German translation for "inflight entertainment system"???

Landing in Singapore and getting out of Changi airport was also pretty painless. Airport people here are very serious, don't talk much but are very helpful. Getting all of us and our luggage into the cab was a challenge but we did it. After about 20 minutes we were at the hotel and checked in. The kids were very impressed with the foyer thanks to loads of lights, marble and fountains. To be fair the hotel is bloody nice and very comfortable. Here's where we are right now...

Today we're going to check out the sights before flying on late tonight. The weather looks good so it's all systems go for day one. That's it til we get to London folks...

Cheers,
Millsy
